Abhay Deol is a Bollywood film actor/Director. He belongs to a Sikh Jatt Family. He was born on 15th March, 1976 in Chandigarh, Punjab India. He is a son of a director and producer Ajit Deol and nephew of famous actor Dharmendra. His cousins are also one of the top starts in the Bollywood named as Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol and Esha Deol. Although there are so many family members who are already in film industry but according to him he did not come in acting field due to his father or his family but, when he was a student he was interested in four professions in his mind which are acting, painting, philosophy and journalism and he had to opt out one, finally he preferred acting out of them because in his school days he remained involved in a lot of theatre work which created his interest towards acting.

Abhay Deol graduated from Mumbai University. He immediately after his graduation went to USA (Los Angles) where he studied the fine arts and returned after two years to start his career as an artist.

Abhay Deol Started his career in 2005 from film Socha Na Tha. Since the start of his career he has worked in various movies like Ahista Ahista (2006), Ek Chalis Ki Last Local (2007) and Manorama Six Feet Under His other moves include Honey Moon Travelers Pvt.Lmt ,  Dev.D Meridian Lines , Road , Aisha, Zindagi Na Mila Gi Dobara, Singularity, Shinghai and Neither the “Veil Nor the Four Walls”. In these movies he has proved himself as very talented actor.  His debut movie “Socha Na Tha” won the “Filmfare Best Male Debut Award”. The other movie “Oye lucky Oye” was a fantastic movie on the box office and it also won the “National Award for the Best Popular Movie”. He is included in the most popular top 50 heroes of the Bollywood. He is also entitled as the thinking Women’s hero and modern devdas.

It was in newspapers and other websites that Abhay is in engaged with Preeti Desai But in one of his interviews with Times of India Abhay negated this rumor. However according to Abhay they are the good friends and it is his personal life and he does not want to share his personal life with others although it is the fact that it’s almost impossible to hide anything from the Media being a public figure. He also stated that people know his relationship with Preeti so it is useless to deny that he has been dating her.

Abhay said in one of his interviews that he is also interested in Painting, Philosophy and Journalism. In fact it was difficult for him to choose the right profession and later on it was the acting which became his last choice. He is also interested in caring the animals. For this purpose he has joined one of the NGO and is working with them to secure the animals.
