The famous bollywood actor and producer, Abhishek Bachchan was born on 5th February, 1976. His father Amitabh Bachchan, a legendary actor is a bollywood icon. His mother Jiya Bachchan also contributes in the fame of bachchan family, being a well known bollywood actress. Abhishek attended her schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School and Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai. He also obtained education from Modern School and Vasant Vihar in New Delhi. Further he went abroad for higher studies and studies at Aiglon College in Switzerland and then he got admission at Boston University U.S. But he got to discontinue his studies in the middle, and came back to India to make his emergence in bollywood while his father’s business was facing a downfall. Abhishek got married to Aishwariya Rai, the pre-eminent bollywood star and ex- Miss World. Abhishek performed in Refugee, by J.P. Dutta, making his debut in 2000. Kareena Kapoor was starring opposite him in the movie. The film received an average success. He performed in a several other movies as well, but without adding any distinctive success to his career. He performed in Kuch Naa Kahoo in 2003, co-starring Aishwariya Rai. Later they both got married in 2007.

Yuva by Mani Ratnam, released in 2004, rose up his status as an actor and received lots of admiration for his performance. After awaited since long, Abhishek got his lucky break with the release of Dhoom in the same year of 2004. The movie went a huge blockbuster, his first ever hit movie during his career. 2005 again was another lucky year for Abhishek Bachchan releasing his four consecutive hit movies. These hits were including Bunty Aur Babli, Dus, Sarkar and Bluffmaster. He was honored with Filmfare award for Sarkar, for the category of Best Supporting Actor. He was also nominated for the Best Actor category award by Filmfare.

His three movies were released in the year 2006 including Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehhna, Umrao Jaan and Dhoom 2. Amongst them, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna was a big hit and earned record business at the box office. Umrao Jaan was released afterwards, however it went flop. But the release of sequel Dhoom 2 again boosted up her flairs and enthusiasm. Guru was his first solo hit film in 2007, and his performance was immensely appreciated and admired. In the same year, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom was released but could not become well grossing at the box office.

In 2008, the company of Abhishek’s father AB Corporation Limited, along with Wizcraft International Entertainment Private Limited, jointly ventured the Unforgettable production. Under this production, a galaxy of stars appeared in this Unforgettable World Tour stage production, including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Priety Zinta, Ritesh Deshmukh along with Abhishek himself. He was also playing an administrative and functional role in his father’s company. They covered up U.S, Trinidad, Canada and U.K under this production.

Dostana and Sarkar Raj were released in the year 2008. Moreover, Abhishek preferred to turn into production like various other experienced actors in the industry. His first production was Paa, a joint venture with his father’s company AP Corp. Ltd. During this project Abhisek managed the entire production, marketing and budgeting for the movie, besides he played the leading role in the film. In 2010, Abhishek hosted a game show for Colors TV Channel, named National Bingo Night. The program had beaten the ratings of many other TV game shows being on aired.

Abhishek and Karishma Kapoor had announced their engagement at the celebration party of Amitabh Bachchan’s 60th birthday, in 2002. However, in 2003, the engagement was called off by both of them.

A U.K magazine, Eastern Eye titled Abhishek as the sexiest man in Asia, in the year 2006. On 14th January 2007, Abhishek and Aishwariya Rai announced their engagement. The news was highly hyped up by the media because of the involvement of the world’s famous beauty, ex-Miss World, who earned praises from Hollywood stars as well as from the media all over the world. They got married on 20th April, 2007 and the wedding was held following all the customs and traditions peculiar to Hindu Bunt community. Although the wedding was taking place at Bachchan residence in a private ceremony, it was hugely hyped by the media from all parts of the world, and the couple received the title of super couple in India.
