Shiney Ahuja is a bollywood film actor who was born in Delhi on 15th May 1973. He is considered to be the best for his extraordinary performance in the art movie Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. Shiney’s father served in the Indian Army. Shiney did his early schooling from St. Xavier’s School in Ranchi. Initially he wanted to join the Indian Army but while he was doing his bachelors from Hansraj College University of Delhi he got attracted towards theatre and hence enrolled in Barry Johns Acting School in New Delhi.
Shiney made his bollywood debut with the critically acclaimed movie Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and won the Filmfare best debut male award. His second movie was the Controversial movie Sin based on a Catholic Priest who is in a romantic relation with a woman. The movie came and went without a notice. His third movie was the
John Abraham and
Priyanka Chopra starrer Karam for which he got good reviews from the critics.
In 2006, he starred in Mahesh Bhatt’s Gangster opposite
Kangana Ranaut and
Emraan Hashmi. The film was drastic hit at the box office and earned magnificent reviews from the Critics. Shiny won ravishing reviews for his brilliant performance. His next 2006 release Zindagee Rocks opposite
Sushmita Sen did not work well at the box office but was hailed by the critics and Shiney once again gave a terrific performance. Next up was the movie Woh Lamhe which was based on the life of former actress
Parveen Babi. The movie was a box office failure but the performance of lead pair Kangana Ranaut and Shiny Ahuja won brilliant reviews for their performance.
In 2007, Shiney acted in another highly acclaimed movie Life in a Metro opposite
Shilpa Shetty and once again won rave reviews. His next 2007 release Bhool Bhulaiya opposite
Akshay Kumar and
Vidya Balan became a smash hit and Shiney acting was yet again applauded. The movie become of the biggest hits of the year.
In March this year, Shiney was sent to jail for raping his maid in 2009, he has been sentenced to seven years in prison; he was released on bail on 27th April. It is because of this very reason that the talented actor has completely disappeared from the movie arena.
