Deepal Shaw is a former model, singer and bollywood actress. She was born on February 21st 1986 in one of the famous city of India, named Mumbai. Deepal Shaw had her upbringing in Mumbai. She studied at St. Xavier’s College and has done her graduation, with a BA in psychology. Her parents always wanted her to become a singing and she received her first music training from the age of six. She lived in a conservative joint family. Her family business is in the Steel and iron industry, her mother is a housewife and she speaks excellent Urdu because her family migrated from Lakhnow when she was only a child.

She started her journey as a model, and took part in the 2004 version of Miss India. She advanced to the finals but couldn’t progress further as she was eliminated. After that she ventured into singing and began her career as a singer and dancer. Her first music album titled Baby Doll hit the market in the year 2004. Her debut album was well received by audience and people in the music industry and that led to her releasing her second album titled Baby Doll Chapter 2 which was a remix album. Her remixed version of old classic hit song Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar become a rage amongst the younger generation and it played in all the clubs and parties for quite some time. She is currently signed by record label Saregama India.

After her success in the music industry Deepal Shaw decided to take the jump into mainstream bollywood. She signed her first movie Daag – The Shades of Love but unfortunately the movie never materialized and was soon shelved. That didn’t hurt Deepal too much as she soon bagged a role in Mahesh Bhatt’s Emraan Hasmhi & Kunal Khemu starrer Kalyug. Deepal played the bold character of a Porn Star. Her performance was appreciated by the audience and critics. Though her role in the movie was a short one but it did her a world of good.

In the year 2005 she signed her second movie titled Karma, Confessions and Holi. This was an Anglo-Indian movie starring Sushmita Sen & Naomi Campbell. In 2008 she starred in the intense bollywood thriller A Wednesday. The movie got the attention of everyone and was lauded by critics and views alike. Deepal Shaw played the role of a new reporter in the movie. The movie ended up becoming a massive box office success and grossed over 34 Crores.

Apart from music and movies she also did a Thumps Up advert with bollywood super star Salman Khan and despite getting many offers to feature in more ads she never took them. She got offers from the South Indian movie industry to do Item Numbers but she refused stating that she would only do movies that will give her acting space.

Being an independent lady, Deepal Shaw is a true example of a modern metropolis girl who knows exactly what she wants. Be it her unique and hot music videos to her choice of roles, she has always stood by her decisions and choice. Her horoscope sign is Pisces and in one of her interview she was quoted as saying that she loved to dream, she loves dreaming about receiving Filmfare award one day. Deepal loves to paint and loves listening to music in her free time. She also stated that Sushmita Sen was her idol as a model and when Sushmita won her Miss Universe crown she was only 8 years old and since then she always dreamt of becoming a model.
