Karishma Kapoor born on 25th June 1974 is the elder sister of Ruling bollywood Diva Kareena Kapoor and the Grand Daughter of Raj Kapoor. She belongs to the respect Kapoor family of bollywood. She is also known by the nickname Lolo. Karishma has the eyes of her father Randhir Kapoor, the figure of her mother Babita and the talent of the Kapoor family. She started her career as the curly haired, chubby cheeked and simply girl, when she entered the glitzy world in her first movie Prem Qaidi. She was termed as a beauty but a simple and dumb blue eyed dame. In few years, just a few as five years she turned out to be the sexiest women in the whole bollywood industry. Designer wear, her personal groomer turned her into a black haired, glass figured, expressive lady. From comedy to tragedy, from nonsense movies of David Dhawan to Fiza like art movies, she was appreciated and honored. She all of a sudden transformed her chubby impression and become the ultra modern sexy girl.

In her personal life also she went through a great change. She was engaged to Abhishek Bachan of the great Bachan Family and then the sudden breakup. She eventually married Sanjay Kapur an industrialist in September 2003. She has two children; one daughter and one son.

During her top years she won many awards. Her movie Raja Hindustani opposite Amir Khan released in the year 2006. In 1999 she acted in the movie Biwi No 1 opposite Salman Khan for which she also got Nominated for the best actress. In 1997 she acted in Yash Chopra’s Dil to Pagal hai opposite Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Akshay Kumar. The movie as we all know is one of the best movies to have come out of bollywood. She won the Filmfare and the National award as the best supporting actress for her performance in this romantic movie.

In 2000 she did a semi art movie in the shape of Fiza opposite Hritik Roshan. Her Performance in the movie was breathtaking and amazing and won her many accolades. She won her third Filmfare award and this time for the best actress. In the very next year she did another offbeat movie Zubeidaa for which she again bagged the Filmfare award for the best actress. In 2002 she did an offbeat violent movie called Shakti. The movie was not a major box office success but her performance in this movie stood out and she further proved her acting metal. She was again nominated for the best actress category or her splendid performance.

After the year 2003 she took a break of 4 years from the film line. She made her comeback this time though on the small screen when she was selected as the judge for dance reality show Naach Baliye along with Vaibhavi Merchant and Arjun Rampal.
