who did not only started working as an actress, but later on, she became the producer and director the movies like her father who is the big film producer. Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra India on February 24, 1972, she had the great luck to take birth at the house of famous Indian film producer namely Mahesh Bhatt. Her mother name is Kiran Bhatt, who is also known by another name “Loraine Bright.” Her father is from India, while her mother gave her the ties from Scottish, Burmese and Armenian ancestry. Beside her fathers, she is the cousin of another famous Indian actor Emraan Hashmi
. Not only this, she also has the family ties with the Mukesh Bhatt, and Vikram Bhatt, while her grandfather was also the famous filmmaker known as Nanabhai Bhatt. Therefore, with all of these references, it is quite evident that she belongs to the family which deeply involved in the making of great movies. At first, she was an actress and she worked in most of the movies which were directed by her father.
Pooja Bhatt has been reported to be involved with the VJ for the very short time namely Ranvir Shorey. However, later on, she married Manish Makhija. The affair started when Pooja Bhatt was directing the film “Paap” in 2004. After that, the marriage was a success. The very first appearance of Pooja Bhatt in the showbiz was in the TV film namely “Daddy” in 1989, when she was just 17 years old. She had the role of the teenage girl in search for true love while simultaneously in battle with her father who is alcohol addict. It was the small production. The very first big screen debut of Pooja Bhatt came with the “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin” in 1991 where she was casted with the famous “Mr. Perfect” of Bollywood-Aamir Khan
. The very same year, she was in the cast of the movie namely “Sadak.” From that time on, she has been well known for her famous work as an actress, producer and director.
Among the other movies in which Pooja Bhatt worked from 1990-2001 included “Prem Deewane, Sir, Pehla Nasha, Kranti Kshetra, Naaraaz, Hum Dono, Border, Kabhi Na Kabhi, Zakhm, Yeh Pyar Hi To Hai, Angaaray and Khilona, and Sanam Teri Kasam.” The last film in which she acted was “Everybody Says I’m Fine!” in 2001, after which she started to work as the film director and producer. Her very first directed film was in 2004 with the name of “Paap.” After that, she directed Holiday in 2006, Dhoka in 2007, and Kajraare in 2010. All of these directed movies got the diverse comments from India and abroad. Since 1997, she was in movie production too. Her very first production was Tamanna which was released in 1997, after that Zakhm in 1998, Jism in 2003, Rog in 2005, etc. all of these movies produced by Pooja Bhatt were a great success, and won many positive critics by the masses. Along with this, Pooja Bhatt has also worked as the production designer in the different movies. Among those the best example of her creativity is “Rog” in 2005. In the list of awards, Pooja Bhatt was the winner of Filmfare award in 1991 for “Lux face of the year,” and in 2005, she was nominated for the debuting director in “Popular awards” for the movie Paap.
