Her mother name is Kiran Bhatt, who is also known by another name “Loraine Bright.” Her father is from India, while her mother gave her the ties from Scottish, Burmese and Armenian ancestry. Pooja Bhatt has been reported to be involved with the VJ for the very short time namely Ranvir Shorey. However, later on, she married Manish Makhija. Among the other movies in which Pooja Bhatt worked from 1990-2001 included “Prem Deewane, Sir, Pehla Nasha, Kranti Kshetra, Naaraaz, Hum Dono, Border, Kabhi Na Kabhi, Zakhm, Yeh Pyar Hi To Hai, Angaaray and Khilona, and Sanam Teri Kasam.” The last film in which she acted was “Everybody Says I’m Fine!” in 2001, after which she started to work as the film director and producer. Her very first directed film was in 2004 with the name of “Paap.” After that, she directed Holiday in 2006, Dhoka in 2007, and Kajraare in 2010. All of these directed movies got the diverse comments from India and abroad. Since 1997, she was in movie production too. Her very first production was Tamanna which was released in 1997, after that Zakhm in 1998, Jism in 2003, Rog in 2005, etc. all of these movies produced by Pooja Bhatt were a great success, and won many positive critics by the masses. Along with this, Pooja Bhatt has also worked as the production designer in the different movies. Among those the best example of her creativity is “Rog” in 2005. In the list of awards, Pooja Bhatt was the winner of Filmfare award in 1991 for “Lux face of the year,” and in 2005, she was nominated for the debuting director in “Popular awards” for the movie Paap.
