
Some people don’t think that they belong to one career, however, for just a try, they can take their chances. They do not realize that they have those skills which will the people to want them more. These people have such skills and they don’t realize it until they have used them. Born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India on January 31st, 1975, this 36 years old actress has achieved much in her life. Her father was in Indian army, and she suffered the loss of her father when she was a child. Hence, it was the factor which matured her in the very early age. The first school where she went was Convent of Jesus and Mary Boarding school which is situated in Shimla. She graduated from this school at the age of 18 years, and then she went to St. Bede’s College which is also situated in Shimla. She majored in the English Honors from there and then she enrolled in the psychology. She then earned master degree in criminal Psychology however, this was not the career she chose for her, and she became a model later.
The very first time she appeared on the screen was when she did the commercial for the “Perk Chocolates” in 1996. She then further worked in the commercials including the commercial for the famous soap Liril. Her career can be divided into several categories. However, these categories are always starting from the time she commenced her work from the movies and not with the commercials. Her first debut was in the movie namely “Dil Se” in 1997, which was the super hit movie of the time. Her male counterpart in the movie was Shahrukh Khan. Preity Zinta appeared in the next movie up to 1999, including “Raja Kumarudu, Soldier, Premante Idera, and Sangharsh.” All of these movies were the great success for Preity Zinta and she became the well know heroine in the Bollywood. Later, from 2000-2002, she appeared in the number of movies including, “Dil Chahta Hai, Mission Kashmir, and Dil Hai Tumhaara, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.” All of these movies were according to the modern era and showing that how the new generations has been striving to gain their place in the society. These movies were also depicting the national level conflicts and showing the role of youth in it. Hence, through her best acting in these movies, Preity Zinta was nominated and awarded for her performances.
Since 2003 to this day, Preity Zinta has been in the cast for many movies. These movies were mostly super hit, and there were many critics that are calling the character of Preity Zinta in these movies to be amazing and totally doing justice with them. In the movies like “Lakshya, Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karen, Jaan-e-Mann, Salaam Namaste, , Kal Ho Na Ho, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Veer-Zaara, Koi…Mil Gaya, and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. Including the work in the film industry, Preity Zinta also worked in the shows, and also in some drama serials home and abroad. Along with this, Preity Zinta is well known for her work in the other prospects too. She had done the work on the stage performances, along with humanitarian work. This also included the work Column writing and for this she has raised her voice for the rights of the women too. Preity Zinta has been nominated for many movies and won quite the number of awards for her work. These include the best actress awards, best awards in the supporting role, and the other awards which she got from abroad. She has also given the guest appearances in many other movies too. Furthermore, she is the owner of the one team in IPL.
