Born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India on July 18th, 1982, this 29 years old actress has won many awards on both national and international levels. Her work is quite great in all the fields and she has been known to provide the best acting for her fans. Her parents are quite lucky to have a daughter like her, and by professions her parents namely Madhu Akhauri and Ashok Chopra are both Physicians. Priyanka Chopra spent her childhood moving from one locale to another, including the Newton, Massachusetts; Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her first schooling occurs in La Martiniere Girls’ School which is located in Lucknow. Then she went to US where she continued her schooling in Newton South High School, and in the last, she went in Cedar Rapids, Iowa John F. Kennedy High School. As she moved a lot with her parents, her education was quite interrupted, and hence, she completed her school at Bareilly in Army School. She then went to Jai Hind College which is located in Mumbai, however, she was then selected for the Miss World Contest, and she left the schooling.

Priyanka Chopra won the Miss India contest and later she participated in the Miss World competition, and she won it. This opened the doors for Priyanka Chopra to enter in the Indian Film Industry. The very first debut for Priyanka Chopra was in the Tamil movie namely “Thamizhan” which was released in 2002. The movie was great, however, there was character lacking from the Priyanka Chopra’s side, and she received the negative reviews about it. In 2003, she appeared in Hindi Movie namely “The Hero: Love Story of a Spy.” She had a supporting role; however, the movie did not settle well with the critics. Since 2004 to present day, Priyanka Chopra appeared in many movies. In the beginning, these movies were quite the shock for her, as she has to make her career in the good way. While on the other hand, she was receiving the bad critics. But she got the breakthrough later. She appeared in the movies namely “Asambhav, Plan, and Kismat,” and then she appeared in “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.”

In the coming years after 2004, she appeared in many movies, and many of them were not that much appreciated. However, the ones which were famous received the very good remarks by the critics. In these movies include the “Aitraaz, Karam, Barsaat, Blackmail and Yakeen.” She then appeared in “Waqt: the race against time,” and then in “Don-The chase begins again.” All o these movies did moderately on the box office, and yet Priyanka Chopra needed to perform well according to the critics. Her film “Krrish” with Hrithik Roshan in 2005 was the great hit, and then she got the very good reviews from the critics on this movie. Not only did she work in the movies, Priyanka Chopra is also known for her guest appearances in different movies, while she also worked for the doing the fashion shows. Her other movies which came after 2006 included Fashion, Dostana, Kaminey, Pyaar Impossible. Recently in 2011, the movie namely 7 Khoon Maaf was released which was a moderate success. Hence, for many movies, she has been given the remarks to improve her acting skills; while on the other hand, she has been known to work for the best. She has also appeared in the different TV shows as the guest. There are many awards in which she has been nominated while there is also the list where she won the awards on the national level.
