Veena Malik was born on 26 February 1984 to an army officer Ali Malik and Zeenat Malik. She was born in Rawalpindi at CMH hospital. Her grandmother named her Zahida but his parents insisted on named her Veena. She was a very bright student. She did her graduation from F.G College Rawalpindi. Veena is a BA in Sociology, Psychology and Persian. She also took keen interest in sporting activities and liked playing basket ball. She also used to participate in debates. Veena has one brother and five sisters. She has been associated with media since last 10 years and has worked as a Pakistani actress, comedienne and model.
Before starting acting, she was working as a comedian and appeared in many television shows. She was the host of Prime TV show called Prime Gupshup. She also hosted Geo TV Hum Sub Umeed Say Hain.
She made her debut in acting with Askari's Tere Pyar Mein released in the year 2000 where she worked along Shaan and Zara Sheikh. This movie was a great hit on box office. She played a supporting cast for this movie. She also appeared for a supporting role in Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa released in the year 2002.
She did a Punjabi movie in the year 2003, Pind Di Kuri however this movie couldn’t do well. Then in 2003 she did Askari's Sassi Punno where she worked along with Sana and Moammar Rana. Next for her was Rafique's Jageer. She also did a short Punjabi movie in the year 2005 titled Bau Badmash. In 2005, she did Reema Khan's Koi Tujh Sa Kahan which made good commercial success. It was in the year 2007, when she won most stylish celebrity Lux Style Award.
She then appeared in Rafique's Punjabi film Mohabbatan Sachiyan in the year 2008 and her co-stars were Babrik Shah, Maria Khan and Adnan Khan. This movie made good success on box office. Next movie was Raza's Kabhi Pyaar Na Karna where she appeared in a supporting cast but this movie couldn’t do well. In the same year 2008, she did Altaf's Ishq Beparwah however this one also failed to do well.
Veena worked for Rafique's Main Jeena Tere Naal as well as for Beyg's debut comedy movie Miss Duniya in the year 2010. She also has worked in Kannada version of "The Dirty Picture" which is yet to release. She also appeared in Indian television reality show Bigg Boss Season 4 and she was elected out of the house only two weeks before finale. She was among final 6 contestants of the show. She was also there for the finale of the show. In February 2011, she participated in the Cricket World Cup reality show titled Big Toss. This reality show was between teams where Veena played as captain of one team and against her was Rakhi Sawant with her team.
There was a recent controversy where Veena’s nude pictured appeared on the cover page of FHM magazine and she had ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence spy agency initials) written on her upper arm. She however sued the magazine for the images and claimed that she never appeared nude. She was also ranked 26th HM India's "100 sexiest women list". She had also worked as a representative at WHO (World Health Organization) for around 2 years. She also is sponsoring a child at the SOS Children's Village.
