Biography

Chyler Leigh was born on April 10, 1982 in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. At age 2 her family moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia She attended Trantwood Elementary and Great Neck Middle School. Ten years later her parents divorced and her mother moved Chyler and her brother Christopher to Miami, Florida, while her father chose to stay in Virginia.

Over here Chyler attended Nautilus Middle School and an unknown High School before dropping out to persue her acting career. She joined up with a private acting coach Sharon Lane and was soon represented by Lane Management.Leigh began modeling, working consistently for the next few years. As the tedium of modeling set in, Chyler branched out into acting, appearing in local commercials and hosting a syndicated teen news show called "Hall Pass" (1996). She experienced her very first whirlwind television pilot season in 1999 and was cast in a starring role on The WB comedy pilot, "Saving Graces" (1999). While the series didn't make the schedule, Leigh's breakout performance landed her a newly created role on "Safe Harbor" (1999).

Unfortunatley, "Safe Harbour" (1999) only lasted one season, and her next effort, comedy "That 80's Show" (2002), failed miserably as did her midseason shoe, yet another comedy "Girls Club" (2002), which survived just 2 episodes. She also starred in Not Another Teen Movie (2001), which was panned by critics and had disappointing box office results.

The detirmined Leigh did not give up, and became a regular in the last season of "The Practice" (1997). Although ABC offered hwer a role in the spin-off, Leigh filmed a pilot for WB teen drama "Rocky Point" (2005). The show was supposed to air in WB's 2005 midseason scedule but did not end up airing. Leigh then filmed a pilot for the promosing "Reunion" (2005), a drama set around a high school reunion, which was picked up in May 2005.

Leigh enjoys water activties and listening to music. It may be a gloomy period for Chyler Ligh but days are not far when with her great looks and dedication she will carve a niche for herself.
