Biography

Jennifer Esposito was born on 11 April, 1973 in New York, New York, USA. She was born to Bob, a computer consultant (and former music producer), and mom Phyllis, an interior decorator. She always wanted to become an actress. Right from the very beginning of her life she wanted to be a star. This strong desire to be a star one day made her to enroll at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York. Life was not that easy for her in the very beginning. In order to meet her everyday needs she started working as a waitress because though she was getting some roles those were very petty.

Her career took a start when she got an entry in the ABC soap "The City." This was the stepping stone for her. The agents of " Spin City" were looking for someone who could be casted in the movie as Michael J. Fox's character's assistant. She was definitely selected and thenstarted shooting in 1997. This was however not very satisfying for the ladya nd so she quitted from it so that she could concentrate on her career in feature films. After working on films like Kiss Me Guido and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, Spike Lee cast her in his 1999 film, Summer of Sam. Although the film was not a commercial success, it did showcase Esposito's range while playing a punk singer whose boyfriend is accused of murder. Incidentally, Esposito was originally slated to play the role that ultimately went to Mira Sorvino, but she had to take on a smaller role due to scheduling conflicts. 

This was the beginning of a bright future. She soon found herself working for Just One Time, Dracula 2000, Don't Say a Word, and 2002's The Master of Disguise with Dana Carvey. There is simply no look back for this great and well established lady.
