A native of San Francisco, Leslie Mann got her start at the age of 17 acting in commercials before winning a role in the Jim Carrey comedy The Cable Guy for which she had to beat out 500 other actresses at an open audition. Since then she has mostly starred in comedies, such as George of the Jungle, Big Daddy and Orange County. In 1997, she married writer/producer Judd Apatow and has appeared in several of his projects, including an episode of Freaks and Geeks and playing "The Drunk Girl" in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. But she was a real scene stealer as the disillusioned wife of Paul Rudd in Knocked Up, a film directed by her husband and co-starring her own two young daughters.
