Although she never planned to go into show business (she wanted to be a paleontologist or a doctor), she has been acting since age 14. Suvari is best known for her role as the Lolita-like cheerleader who tempts Kevin Spacey in American Beauty. She started modeling in high school and her family moved to L.A. so she could audition for commercials, and she got her first big ad for Rice-A-Roni. Next came American Pie, then American Beauty in 1999. Since then, Suvari's worked steadily in mostly smaller, indie films.


1. Coincidentally, she married a man 18 years her senior not long after her American Pie role. She was 21.
2. Her father is Estonian, her mother is Greek and her first name is Egyptian.
3. She collects Pucci designer items.
4. She likes hiking, horse riding, shopping and playing the piano.
5. She's currently in a relationship with a professional breakdancer whom she met in Germany.
