Ben Affleck was born on 15th august 1972 in Berkeley, California, USA to Jewish parents, but he was brought up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. His complete name is Benjamin Geza Affleck-Boldt. His father is Timothy Affleck and Mother is Chris Affleck. He has one younger brother, Casey Affleck who is also an actor. Ben Affleck has dated Gwyneth Paltrow during 1998-99 who was his costar in Shakespeare in Love and his ex-fiancée was Jennifer Lopez whom he get engaged in 2002 and the duo split in 2003. Ben started his career as a child in a commercial for Burger King. He appeared in few TV movies and made small appearances on television in his teenage. At very young age he appeared in PBS's marine biology-themed The Voyage of the Mimi, which made him quite popular in the school. He also met his best friend and ultimate a sincere colleague, Matt Damon the same year. After concluding his studies both at University of Vermont and California's Occidental College, he was all set to enter the Hollywood world. Ben and Matt both appeared in a film, School Ties in 1992. He made his real breakthrough in the film industry when he performed in Dazed and Confused in 1993. Following this, he appeared in Kevin smith’s movies Mallrats and Chasing Amy. Ben has relationship with and dated Gwyneth Paltrow during 1998-99 who was his costar in Shakespeare in Love. He also got engaged to actress and singer Jennifer Lopez. Their relationships got them a name Bennifer. They both acted together in the two very unsuccessful movies Gigli and Smith's Jersey Girl. These two flop movies were disastrous for his position in film industry and cost him his career. The couple split in 2004 after a great follow up by paparazzi. After the split, Ben started dating his daredevil costar Jennifer Garner and married her in 2005.

Ben Affleck has proved himself as a very hardworking and potential actor, but he has also paved his path in film direction.
