 profile The dashing actor appeared as the sixth and cool individual to play the character of James Bond. This English actor became famous for his portrayal as James bond in Casino Royale and in Quantum of Solace. He is one of the most famous British actors.
He was born as Daniel Wroughton Craig on March 2, 1968, in Cheshire, England. His father was Tim Craig and mother was Carol Olivia Craig. In his early childhood, his parents parted their ways. Craig first married Scottish actress Fiona Loudon. They had a daughter, Ella together. Unfortunately the marriage didn’t last long, and the couple parted their ways as it ended in divorce. After that, he had relationship with German actress Heike Makatsch and also dated Satsuki Mitchell. The relationship ended in vain. After all that, Craig went on dating actress Rachel Weisz and ultimately they married.

He and his elder sister Lea were raised in Liverpool then in Hoylake, Wirral. From an early childhood, he was interested in acting and the theater world always inspired him a lot. His mother always supported him a lot for his interest and ambition in acting. He was in mid teens, when he shifted to London. Soon after that he joined the National Youth Theatre. Afterwards, he managed to get a place in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

He performed in many plays in theaters and in his school. His mother was always behind his talented son and was always there to appreciate him. He respected his decision of choosing acting as a profession.

His first appearance was in the movie The Power of One in early 90’s. The he appeared on television serials including “Our Friends in the North”. After that he gained a breakthrough from few hits. His supporting roles in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Road to Perdition carved his path to success and fame in the Hollywood industry. These roles gave him global recognition and his acting was appreciated a lot.
Soon after that he appeared in Layer Cake which received commendable response from the critics. He was also nominated for his outstanding performance in the movie. He also received some awards for his performance.  He also starred in Munich, costarring Eric Bana, directed by Steven Spielberg. He was then casted as the sixth James Bond for the Bond series.

Some of the very renowned performances by Craig were in the trench, the mother and in enduring love, The Golden Compass, These all movies and Craig himself was also nominated for many awards and gained some as well. When he was nominated as the sixth James bond, some critics argued the decision of choosing him. He is first bond who is blonde and first who born after the series. His bond film, Casino Royale is one of the most recognized Bond’s films. It earned more than US$594,239,066 worldwide. He was awarded Empire Award for Best Actor, Sant Jordi Award for Best Foreign Actor for his acting in Casino Royale. He also got nominated for BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Saturn Award for Best Actor.

Craig also appeared in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as a journalist. Craig worked with famous star Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde in the movie Cowboys & Aliens.  He has more than fifty films to his credit.
