 profile Tall and having sharp features, no one can negate the accomplishment of Eric Bana in the roles which he played in “Black Hawk Down" and "The Hulk”. He is a very renowned Australian actor and comedian. His talent has leaded him to national and international levels.

Eric Banadinovich was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on August 9, 1968. His parents are Ivan Banadinovich, father and Eleanor Banadinovich mother. He has only one brother who is elder to him. He is married to Rebecca Gleeson, whom he proposed on a dreamy romantic trip to America. He has two kids, son, Klaus and daughter, Sophia. Being an Australian resident, he is a great admirer and supporter of Australian football team.

From an early age he was famous among his fellows in school for doing parodies of his teachers. He admired Mel Gibson and Mad Max a lot at that time and he decided to become an actor.

He shifted to Sydney and for his survival he did unusual jobs including washing cars at a service station and pushing trolleys at Coles New World.  He worked at Melbourne's Castle Hotel as a barman and at that time he showed up as a humorist there. He made his mark as a comedian and it was very obvious that humor was in his blood and soul. He always searched ways to show his talent. He made his first appearance on television on a talk show “Tonight Live with Steve Vizard”. Following the show he appeared in a TV series “Full Frontal”.

He achieved fame for imitating famous actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Tom Cruise. After that he moved on to beginning his own show “Eric”. Following this, he commenced a comedy marathon “The Eric Bana Show Live”. The show was not followed by a great audience so it was ruled out. Nevertheless, he was awarded Logie Award for "Most Popular Comedian" for his performance in “The Eric Bana Show Live” (1997).

His entrance in the film industry was through a supporting role in the flick “The Castle”. In the following year he was chosen to represent "Chopper" Read, the infamous Australian underworld individual in a movie. For the perfection of the role he was assigned, he increased his weight and also passed few days with Read in detention center, to observe his style and conduct for flawless imitation of the character. Bana altered his personality entirely in a heavy, bald and troubled criminal. The flick “Chopper” become a blockbuster and an international best-seller. This movie proved his acting skills as a versatile artist. This movie gave him three Australian Film Institute Awards. At Stockholm Film Festival he was awarded the Best Actor at the 2000 and also the AFI 2000 Best Actor Award. Eric Bana feels very exciting about his role in Chopper. He recalls the role as full of anxiety, anguish and excitement.
This triumphant effort by Bana, recognized him as an emerging talent. Soon after this, he was casted in “Black Hawk Down”. He played the role of Norm "Hoot" Hooten, an American soldiers and he practiced a lot for American accent. This film was also a blockbuster and it smoothed his way to Hollywood world.

He also starred in Hulk which was also a success.  He performed the role of Trojan "Prince Hector” in the classic historical movie Troy in 2004. Troy was a box office hit and his role was appreciated a lot. He was also the part of the cast in “Munich” which was directed by Steven Spielberg. The movie also starred Daniel Craig and Geoffrey rush. He has also been a part of animated movie “Finding Nemo”, where he voiced the vegetarian shark.

He is, in real a very multi-talented artist, he has proved himself as a very serious actor as well as a stand-up comedian.
