Grammer was drawn to the works of William Shakespeare and spent two
years at the prestigious Juilliard School before breaking in to
Broadway with roles in
Macbeth and
Othello. Though a natural stage talent, it was television that would be Grammer's path to super stardom. He joined the cast of
Cheers in 1982 and in 1993 starred in his own spin-off,
Frasier,
which brought the actor Emmys, Golden Globes and the respect of the
Hollywood community. His distinct, deep voice made him a coveted voice
talented for animated films such as
Teacher's Pet and 'toon TV shows
South Park and
Father of the Pride. 2006 proved to be Grammer's breakout year in film. He landed the role of new mutant "Beast" in
X-Men: The Last Stand and starred in the romantic comedy,
Significant Others.
