
Stand-up comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is most famous for his character “Ali G”. This character is his trademark. Sacha Baron Cohen was born on 13th October, 1971 in London. Having two brothers, he is a true Jew. His mother hails from Israel and father from Wales. Baron got married to Isla Fisher who was an Australian actress. They have two daughters, Olive and Elula. He studied from University of Cambridge. In university, he acted in several plays, including Fiddler on the Roof and Cyrano de Bergerac.
He first took the role on Channel 4's The Eleven O'Clock Show. This show became very popular and earned him recognition. After this, Baron Cohen went on doing his own show Da Ali G Show. He acted silly, wearing weird attires. He interviewed many famous individuals in his show including Buzz Aldrin, Noam Chomsky and David Beckham. It was a comedy film starring Cohen as a Kazakh journalist who is travelling USA, meeting new people and interacting with them. It was a huge box office hit, despite some of its controversies. It sored to number one spot in US and made him earn the Golden Globe for Best Actor - Musical or Comedy. That was the movie which has been nominated for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy Golden Globe. It has also been nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay Academy Award. He was awarded number of awards for his movie and was nominated as well.
In another character, Bruno, Baron Cohen performed the role of an Austrian fashion show broadcaster. He also voiced the very famous animated film, Madagascar, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and in The Simpsons.
