Farhan shoots public service campaign with SRK

Excel Entertainment believes in not only entertaining audience with quality cinema but also realizes its social responsibilities. The company co-founded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani has now come up with 2 public service videos promoting important issues such as adult literacy and power conservation
The videos have been shot by Farhan himself and features top Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Shabana Azmi among others. This is an initiative taken by Excel Entertainment at the insistence of the HRD (Human Resource Development) Ministry. The lyrics of the song have been penned by veteran Javed Akhtar while the music has been composed by the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
Confirming the same, Ritesh Sidhwani tweeted, "Shot a public awareness campaign for adult literacy with @iamsrk, Shabana Azmi, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, @priyankachopra and @FarOutAkhtar. I was thanking all the actors who were kind enough to be a part of the literacy campaign... And this literacy campaign was initiated by @Javedakhtarjadu."
Besides this, Farhan has also agreed to feature in a 90 second film on women's safety, an initiative by the Delhi Police.
