Mata Saraswati Lata Mangeshkar is termed as the soul sister to the moviemaker Yash Chopra. It is for the first time in Yash Chopra's career that his next directional venture would not include Lataji's singing. Lataji's voice has been part of Yash Chopra's movies right from 1973 Daag till his last release Veer Zaara.
Talking about his expereicne with Lataji he said that she has been always kind to him and she is a legendary singer. He further said that Lataji have song for his movie and will continue to sing for his movies. He said that he is quite proud of his sister and she is one who doesn't follow
music but actually music follows her. She is blessed and we are blessed to have her, said Yashji.
There are reports that the decision was taken by Aditya Chopra and rest of the team of this project.
When Lataji was contacted regarding this news she said that she doesn't have an idea if she is singing for his next movie or not? She further said that Yashji is like brother to her and he is quite dear to her. No matter if she sings for his next film or not, her love for him will remain intact.
