Since the promos of the movie were released showing Kareena smoking on screen, there were numerous issues raised all around. Now after the release of
Kareena Kapoor starrer Heroine, there are various postcards and letters posted to the actress by many students from different schools where they have asked Kareena to refrain from on screen smoking.
These requests are written as a part of Health Related Information Dissemination Amongst Youth campaign (HRIDAY) which is against smoking to be used in movies. The students say that these actors and actresses stand as a role model for school going kids and thus this doesn't set a good example for kids when they see their stars smoking on screen.
A letter is also written to the director of the movie Madhur Bhandarkar and he has been urged to abide to this notification. This movie had already released now and the rest is now to Kareena that how seriously she takes her fans requests for her next movies.
