Recently we reported that Anurag Basu's Barfi has been nominated to represent India at the Oscars and is thus made official entry from the country. This decision was made over the weekend as this movie is considered a strong contender and has won heart of audiences.
Famous filmmaker Shoojit Sircar is quite happy for the whole team of Barfi while on the other hand is quite upset with the producer (EROS International) of his movie Vicky Donor as he feels that there has been a lack of interest shown by the producers for this quite innovative and new concept introduced in the movie.
He congratulated the entire team of the movie Barfi including stars and the makers but he expressed his disappointment with EROS when he came to knew from Indian Jury that this movie Vicky Donor has not been received as an entry for consideration from EROS. He further said that this is a disregard for the movie they brought and this movie not only was commercially successful but received critical acclaim as well.
On an ending note he said that he hopes that this mistake is not repeated by EROS for any other movie in future.
