Many of the Bollywood movies these days are remakes of Tamil movies and joining the same route is producer T P Aggarwal. He is now remaking a famous South Indian Tamil movie titled Saamy and the title change of this movie has now made it Policegiri. This movie star Sanjay Dutt, Prachi Desai and Prakash Raj in lead roles and will be directed by K S Ravikumar.
This title change was confirmed by Aggarwal saying ‘Previously we were going with the same name and then it was changed to Thanedaar Returns. Sanjay however had conflicts with this name as this movie might confuse audiences by giving them an idea of a sequel. Now the entire team has brainstormed together and after short listing some titles for this movie we have finally locked Policegiri as title of this movie.
This movie will feature Sanjay romancing with Prachi. Sanjay will be seen as a rough cop with a comic touch added to his character in the movie. Prachi plays girl next door who is a software engineer. She falls in love with Sanjay Dutt and thus marries him.
Sanjay is quite confident about success of this movie releAsing in May 2013.
