There was an interesting story read by Neeraj Pandey in the newspaper and he will now be tracking down this story in his forthcoming movie Special 26. This incident of 80s will be recreated and this one revolves around a looting fake officer of CBI.
Another development in this movie is that it would include the case of Sukh Ram (former union communication minister of Indian National Congress Government). This man was accused of giving favor to a private firm based in Hyderabad for purchase of a telecommunication device and thereby causing a loss of Rs. 1.6 crores. Two other people were convicted along with him in year 2002.
In the year 1995, this case was termed as the biggest scandal and a raid was carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) revealing that money of Rs. 36.6 million rupees was stashed in the official residence of Sukh Ram. Also in Delhi city, detectives found that there were high domination currency notes worth Rs. 2.45 crore. This money was stashed in to puja room and suitcases. There was no proper explanation received by daughter of Sukh Ram who was present at his residence.
