Shankar Mahadevan had a dream of doing a recording with Lataji and finally he got this opportunity. Earlier in January, Shankar and Lataji recorded their first duet which was composed by Mayuresh Pai.
Reliable sources report that Shankar Mahadevan is planning a peacful album with Lataji that would contain healing songs for the world. This album is supposed to have the same effect as Lataji's Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon.
A source close to this project says 'Shankar always wished to have a peacful album with Lataji. Shankar feels that this is the most appropriate time for this project as the world all around is now filled with negativity and hatred among people.'
Also we heard that Lataji has agreed to do this album. She feels that one should use his/her skills for betterment of world around you. She will be joining hands with Shankar for this project of peace.'
This album will be multilingual including tracks in languages like Hindi, Sanskrit, Marathi and English. These different languages will be used to represent message of world peace. Work is in progress for this album. When Shankar was contacted he confirmed this news but didn't revealed much information about this peace project.
