Now a days movies are cashing a lot on their satellite rights. These days satellite rights of big movies are being acquired by major TV channels before release of movies. Barfi and Heroine are two movies of UTV that are not being premiered yet on TV. Barfi was a major hit on box office while Heroine didn't matched well.
Reliable industry source reveals that none of the channels have shown interest in gaining satellite rights of Barfi and Heroine as UTV is quoting high satellite rights for these movies. It is heard by industry sources that UTV is asking for Rs. 20 crores satellite rights for Barfi and Rs. 15 crores for Heroine.
Now one waits to see which TV channel finalizes deals for these movies.
