Anusha Rizvi gained immense fame through Peepli Live and now she is heading towards making another movie which is a Bhojpuri movie titled Afeem. This movie is an adaptation of novel Sea of Poppies by Amitav Ghosh. This movie is a period movie set in 1820s in Bihar.
Bulenkhandi was used as a language in Peepli Live and thus this Bhojpuri movie would not be a problem as this language is spoken by many people around the world.
Professor Mujib Rizvi, father of Anusha will be working on the medieval poetry of this movie. He will be working as a consultant for this movie and this movie will be directed by Anusha along with her husband Mahmood Farooqui. This movie is proposed to be a musical movie unlike conventional Bollywood movies.
Anusha while discussing this movie says that this movie will be based on research from different libraries in Bihar town and thus makers of this movie will be traveling in different interior places of Bihar including Chapra and Arrah for making this movie a traditional outing.
