Sameer Sharma seems to be stepping in to the world of Indian classical music with his next movie titled Jugalbandi. This one would be a complex and challenging project for director as there will be complex ragas and gharanas involved in this movie.
This movie is reported to be a musical score and the story is based on two musicians, one guru and shagird. The music of this movie is composed by Amit Trivedi. His previous attempt with Sameer Sharma was Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana where one could easily trace the Punjabi flavor.
Sameer says ‘In Luv Shuv, it was difficult to make out that Punjabi music of that movie was done by a Gujarati music composer. Amit creates wonderful sound and background score. He has great knowledge of different cross border sounds and is well aware of all kind of music. So I have chosen him once again for my Jugalbandi.’
Further Sameer says that this movie would not include only classical music but there will be a fusion of western arrangements and sounds. He further says ‘I would not want Jugalbandi to be restricted and marketed as classical music only but there are different western elements involved in the theme of this movie and Amit has all the expertise to make it happen.’
