It is well known that Priyanka Chopra has always liked Alisha Chinai as a soulful singer. Alisha once sang for Priyanka for her 2005 release Karam and this song was ‘Tinka Tinka’. Voice of Alisha really suited Priyanka’s sizzling image in the movie. Priyanka once talking about Alisha says ‘Alisha has always been my singing idol. She sounds like me.’
Now around after 8 years, once again Alisha will be singing a song for Priyanka in Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 3. This song is composed by Rajesh Roshan and it was meant to be sung by Priyanka in her own voice but due to the music deal Priyanka has signed for international album she could not sing for any other platform.
There is buzz that Alisha has been geared in for this track on recommendation of Priyanka. Alisha however, these days is looking after her ailing father and thus says ‘I am keeping myself away from playbacks and there is nothing more important for me at this moment.’
Alisha was visited by Rajesh Roshan in Alibaug where he offered her this track for the movie. Alisha says ‘I could not say no to Rajeshji because of the high regards I have for him and also because this song was meant for Priyanka. I still remember when I sung Tinka Tinka for her she came to me in Bareilly where I performed. She told me that she waited hours with her father to meet me and it was really sweet of her. I loved the way she did Tinka Tinka song on big screen. I loved her music video.’
