Today, Supreme Court sentenced Sanjay Dutt a 5 years jail in connection with the Mumbai blasts case of the year 1993. His conviction was upheld by the court but his imprisonment is reduced to 5 years from 6 years in jail.
Sanjay has spent around 18 months in jail and now would have to spend another 3 years and 6 months. A review petition can be filed by him within four weeks from now. If no appeal is given by him, he will have to surrender and serve his sentence in jail.
