Today the Bombay High Court announced the decision for the 20 acre land in Goregaon suburban area to be handed over to the government of Maharashtra. The land is the place where the Subhash Ghai's film institute is located titled Whistling Woods International. The court has announced and ordered Ghai to hand over 14.5 acres on immediate basis to the government however the remaining 5.5 acre can be handed over by july 31st 2014 so that the institute can get over with their ongoing courses.
Also they have been ordered not to take any admissions for the courses that would prolong beyond 2014.They are also asked to pay the rent of 5.3 crore rupees annually which would be due from 2000 when the joint venture was conducted.
