Information in the world of spying and intelligence is kept under wraps and is kept secured though national guards. However some stories escape this security and reach out….this movie tells you the story of a handsome, strong and mystifying bachelor who lives in New Delhi in government employees' neighborhood. His neighbors are not aware of what he does? He is a top spy officer of Research and Analysis Wing - RAW India. In official corridors, this man is known as Tiger and this lead role is played by Salman Khan.
Tiger is sent through his agency on a safe and easy mission to Dublin, Ireland where he is to look after a scientist of India played by Roshan Seth. This man is suspected to share research material with the Defence establishment of Pakistan. Tiger tries to meet him but fails. Thus he tries to become friends with his home caretaker Zoya played by
Katrina Kaif. As he tries to be close to Zoya, he falls in love with her. Then there is a chaotic journey where Tiger and Zoya are on board to fight for their love in the dark world of spying and espionage.
For this movie EK THA TIGER, director Kabir Khan has been successful in creating the theme close to reality and the character of Salman of a RAW agent is well captured. This movie is a complete desi outing with wit and entertainment well combined for audiences.
Director has been quite focused and considerate throughout the making of this movie as the theme doesn't go off the track. Co-writer Neelesh Mishra reveals story gradually and in a quite interesting manner. Especially the interval is quite shocking where Salman unties a knot. There are many surprises to follow after the interval in the movie and thus keeps audiences engaged throughout till the climax.
EK THA TIGER is beautified with shooting done in different exotic locales around the world and the credit goes to DoP by Aseem Mishra.
music album is quite appealing one as well with Sohail Sen and Sajid-Wajid being associated with it. The favorites here include 'Mashallah', 'Banjara' and 'Laapata'. Stunts and action sequences in the movie are quite capturing with chases you may have never seen before. Dialogues are witty and sharp.
The story is on track all the time only it slows down in the first hour as the love story begins. However the overall performance here of Salman and Katrina is quite wonderful that you may not mind watching this leisurely unfolding of the story.
Salman playing the Tiger here is quite convincing and the makers doesn't have to put too much of efforts to make it look real. Salman already enjoys the reputation of being a Tiger in cinema with wonderful presence on the screen and through his flawless performances in movies. This time again, he proves to be lavish in his character with complete justification done to the role he portrays. He adds in immense energy to the movie. Further beauty is added by the electrifying chemistry between Salman and Katrina in the movie. Katrina's role has its own meat and she delivers perfectly each and every part. Her stunts in the movie are also quite interesting and appealing to watch Katrina with a new fold. Girish Karnad and Ranvir Shorey are perfect. Roshan Seth is satisfactory.
Overall this movie EK THA TIGER is a full energy thriller and entertainer that would appeal audiences throughout.
There are excellent locales, stunning action sequences and stylish finishing in the movie. Salman here stands out as a Tiger in the movie and his performance is wonderful and unmatchable. Movie content is also sustained throughout. This movie could be rated as Salman's best for sure and will surely be a blockbuster on the box-office. It's a MUST TO WATCH!
